In 1991, the’ Legendary of Chien Lung’ produced by Taiwan and shot in China featured Adam as the Emperor Chien Lung, a character portrayed with an amazing majestic aura and irresistible charm. Adam’s Chien Lung took China by storm and had a resuscitated cult following in Taiwan. Some fans were so enthralled by Adam’s imperial persona that upon seeing him in person, they involuntarily addressed him as ‘Your Majesty’ with gestures of courtesy, which attested to Adam’s immense popularity and his successful performance as the grand imposing and Emperor Chien Lung, thus validating a sequel filmed in 1993.
